Technical TH475 slip yoke conversion

    A driveshaft ***y with the slip yoke does not require a carrier bearing. A carrier bearing is needed when you have more than one driveshaft ***y.

    Nope, they don't need a carrier bearing. I think that's more a requirement based on length of the driveshaft than anything else.

    If it matters, the splined part of the slip yoke driveshaft ***embly points to the rearend. That's just the way they are set up.

    Yes, I knew the direction the slip should be pointing but it's a good refresher.

    After coming to a consensus with pops, it looks like we're going to do the bolt in yoke! Now to continue pestering HAMB: is there an existing bolt in the yoke that uses the th475 brake extension housing that is shorter? Or should I just grab a standard roller bearing or bushing truck tail housing with a standard truck yoke?

    I measured the RV yoke at close to 10 lbs and needs 1410 joints lol.
