Thanks Doug. It has fooled a lot of people. You should do that on your build for the look of trips and the bottom end tractability of a two barrel. You may need to add some sheet aluminum skirting around the botttom of yours to complete the look.

Here's a pic of the other side with the bogus secondary progressive linkage. Note the carbs are turned around backwards to clear the front mounted Ford distributor.

  4. Finally warm without rain... (weld outside) .... shock mounts done. This should work to prevent excess axle drop. 20230208_133910.jpg 20230208_133950.jpg 20230208_155746.jpg 20230208_164606.jpg

  7. Picked up a street clutch kit at Summit. Was 1/2 price. Saw Summit Brand for $70.

FYI: they had a new McLeod GM RST dual disc with 26 spline discs in scratch and dent demo area for $400.

  9. Your chassis with parallel springs looks nice. Caster is first thing to verify.. There was a Nova running at 2022 Blue Suede Cruise this year that had the front wheel wobble real bad. First time seeing it happening. I know inside the car, it feels like your front wheels are square.

  14. Been Working on wagon too, lowered suspension, trying to pick up 10ths, without any more eng power. Caltracs going on. Last race, I was going backwards, not sure if it was bias ply fronts, or fuel I bought at Wisconsin Truck Stop.

I can hear the 9,000 RPM launches from here... :D:cool:

  19. That was last time, Alum Rod 292... I took tach out, couldn't watch it. Did nice wheelies, that's about it, this is more torque, probably 6500 RPM. Might put 4-ish gear in it.

Nice. But I think I'd be alittle bit worried about those stove bolts in the front motor mounts failing in a flip. At the very least I'd add a big washer or even better, replace with grade 8 bolts.
