On a car, wire nuts are not your friend. With the vibration of the car they're at high risk of arcing and burning something. Please don't use them on cars. There are a lot of much better solutions.

I understand if you have nostalgia that your dad used them, but they don't belong on a car.

  5. Looking at a weatherpak kit. I need plugs to unhook separate components, and the glass front end.

Weather Pack will work. You could consider Deutsch connectors as well.

  7. Running on 8 cyl after plug fouling. Running previously like valves hanging up. Pulled valve covers, top end too dry for my liking.

Now to T/S top end oiling. Oiled fine with roller cam, and T&D rockers.

Lifters to rockers ... engine oil pressure is strong 60psi at 180deg.

  8. Trans Throwout bearing needed swapped, after putting street soft clutch in, was not enough linkage stroke. Used my trans dowels, slid back Muncie, swapped to my next longer T Brg. Good to go.

8in dowels allow clutch fork, or T Brg swaps.

  9. Field trial tomorrow.
    Trimming clearance around shifter.
    Heat and bend new shifter.

Your gonna have to go get more water for the well if you keep washing everything.
    Looking good.

  14. She's the best well on this road. When she is slow, everybody hauls water.

Water is 1 cent /gal at tower. It takes quarters too

Get another one /off brand or I actually cut one out of 3/8 flat aluminum once. Even managed to thread the end for a knob. Worked pretty slick.

  21. Found what looks like a Camaro offset shifter unknown history. Might be a swap meet rattle can rebuild. Might be able to swap it out, or go with brand new NOS shifter, and bend a handle.

I don't believe shocks are designed to limit suspension travel. You need limiting straps.

  23. Other things:

I need to add 2x additional rear shocks.
New Tank Fire Wall ... cover for fuel tank in back.
2x rear tires that hold air.... funny 2x old MT tubes hold air....
Connect Turn Signals back up, wiring is there,

It’s the little things that make it…… interesting! We are going to need a “down the road” video pretty soon.

  25. I did buy a Go Pro camera with my points...

Need to see chassis movement and front axle if the resonance occurs.

My road.... buddy stopped by pickup my scrap pile, his 1ton dually got beat up trying to get up hill. He thought I was joking.... hopefully after city water comes down road, they might pave it. Brutal washboard gravel, dirt Road.

  26. City (rural) water almost here. Halfway across property. In most cases lately, they pave road after its installed.

Small shop is white building in background.

  28. I fit, but 6ft2in. In NHRA legal condition, 5ft 8in would be ideal. With automatic & reconfigure steering would be plenty of room. You can see mustang steering box is under floor. I have been planning vegà box up front to cross steer, then can move steering forward, thru firewall.

  30. I will let you make a pass...
5'8" you fit with clutch, stick shift.

I have a power glide I have not installed. Would make it much easier to operate.
