So some of the Poor Boys decided to roll over to Relix...1 thought he and his girl would camp out and enjoy the pre party....on the way over one of his cheater slicks let's go....throws the spare on...than hits an object outside the Gilmore last night and smashed up his radiator, puking anti freeze everywhere. I go to out shop and grab a nice custom Howe aluminum radiator, bungy cords, zip ties, and antifreeze. I roll over in my Sunliner today, he tells me he is going to pick up a 61 radiator and it should work....nope no mounting brackets.....out of options I thought...who lives around here, has tons of cool stuff and projects, I asked some of the Relix guys...where is Brian...yes flyinbrian...he left the show, went to his place, let me friend use some solder and a cutting torch to patch it up, helped him pressure test it. He even offered to let him keep his car there and have a bud of his fix it at his shop if it didn't work. We got it in, filled up, held pressure, and got him back to Detroit...Brian it's people like you that make this stuff fun. The fact you helped out a total stranger other than seeing some posts on this board and a brief hello at a show now and than speaks volumes for you as a person. Just wanted to publicly say thanks for your help today. Would have been an expensive tow back home.
The same can be said for Gregg pellicer on here. Agreed that the hobby helps make new friends. Great story!!
lots of people talk the talk but, not all can walk the walk. Brian is a true example of someone that walks the walk.
