My insert ad pulled out pretty easy. They gotta eat too. But I'm with you on the date thing. Rob tried to explain that in a recent editorial and I still don't get it. But back to the business at hand . . . Super cool spread and car, congrats!
Lead times for magazines have been a couple of months out for a long time. Figure once you get a 2-3 month lead, it would take a long time to reel it back in. Probably has to do with the compe***ion and thinking the issue may look more "fresh" on the shelf and get the sale if it sits there awhile. If you started a new magazine Vol 1, #1 today, you'd probably date it July, which would buy you time in case #2 (August) was late to press. Same deal with new cars. The 2014's will be out mid year 2013. Used to be a big deal unveiling the new cars at the same time each year.
Congrats, but how did your mail lady get that large issue into the mailbox... my copies is alot smaller.. Loved seeing Panda taking it for a drive.

Congrats! I too was pulling for you guys at GNRS. I love the details of your little modified. I picked my copy up at Safeway today so they have to be out all over the place by now.
