Buying something big off the internet doesn't come without its concerns. Will the item be as advertised? Is the seller one of integrity? If I have to have it shipped, will it get here undamaged?

I just want to say a big thank you to Carl (4950ford), Ben (BenD) and Mike (EarlScheib). Carl gave me a fantastic deal on a very solid 1949 Dodge Pilothouse truck cab. Ben was gracious enough to bring it from Oklahoma to Georgia. Mike was kind enough to come along with Ben and help get the cab up in the yard.

First off, I didn't think I'd EVER find an old Dodge cab, because lets face it, they ain't growin on trees anymore. I'm not sure they ever were. Secondly, everybody in the loop made it happen and I just wanted to say thanks. I reckon now I need to get a build thread goin.

I was glad to hear the tale, what really grabbed me was the thread dedicated to thanking the guys, and making it known the elation of finding the Pilothouse cab.

Great people all around, makes me proud to be here.

Are these Pilot House trucks really that rare? The old fellas at the shop just traded a Pontiac Streamliner for a complete one in full primer. I thought they were nuts. The truck is a big old beast though! Just looked like a big ugly truck to me.

Kudos to all involved. It is great to hear something good happening when all you usually seem to hear is when something goes bad.
