to everyone that has helped me this last month,,,thanks,,, i'm not very eloquent,,,so i thought i'd share the paper my son wrote for school last month,,,, On our way back from Indianapolis, we got a phone call from our down stairs neighbor, Jessica our house got robbed she said. George, my big brother, Trista, my little sister, my mom and I live in a duplex on Como. A few months before the robbery, somebody crashed into our car while my mom was in the shower, causing 1,000 + dollars in damage, so our only transportation was our 1963 Impala. Our luck was down, and we didnt have much money. Then, In December break we decided to go to Indianapolis for the new years. It is a 10 hr drive from here to there, but eventually we got to Toms house (The person who we were going to spend new years with). On our way back from Indianapolis, we got a phone call from our down stairs neighbor, Jessica Our house got robbed, the robber took my jewelry, some of my clothes, our super Nintendo, our DVDs, and our DVD player, she said. I called the police, but they didnt check where you live, because there was no forced entry. We never lock the door leading to our kitchen, so we didnt know if we got robbed too. When we got home we went straight to the living room, where all of our 50+ DVDs were and our Game cube, games and our DVD player, only to find all of it was stolen. As I am writing we are still finding things missing, like my normal backpack, we believe that was taken to help carry their loot. I felt terrible. I cant believe people would do such a thing to a family that did absolutely nothing to them, that is still trying to make ends meet, and right after Christmas. We got clue, the movie that I always wanted for a long time, we got to see it once before it was stolen. I felt like the un-luckiest person in the world, our car crashed and now this. This happens to a lot of people every day, those kinds of criminals are really selfish. We have one of the most crimes than any other country in the world. And I thought we were the free country, our country gave us freedom and the people give the country crime and a terrible reputation. Is it just me or does that not sound right? And today I learned there are still some great people out there. My mom asked for advise on what she should do on her message board, but advise isnt all she got. Someone has a PS2 in his show car and is giving the PS2 to us, a photographer is auctioning photos and giving the money to us, and one of my moms friends is giving us three movies each and one PS2 game. So even if you think it wont get better, it might. If we werent robbed I dont think I would have realized there is some good in everyone. Even if the worst happens to you, you may still get taught something. the support that you guys on the hamb have given my family HAS given them hope and the realization that not everyone is bad and that lesson is pricelesss,,, the help and reprieve i got with my bills and replacing some of my kids things was unexpected,,,but totally appreciated,,, thanks again,,, miss hellbound hootch
