My name is Scott. I am a body repair technician for Cadillac in Dallas, TX. I am always learning and rarely using forums as a pissing contest. I could care less about trophies and plaques. I have much respect to the originals like my dad. He was a mechanic before the computers told you what to do and deserves much respect. I am here to get and share ideas, find like minded people to cruise with and if there are any musicians out there I can get down on some drums. My turn-offs include Donks, billet, and trailer queens. Look forward to exploring the knowledge of the H.A.M.B.. Thanks for having me.

Hell yeah bro! I am currently working out a 1952 Willys station wagon that someone hacked into a pickup with a torch and a coat hangar. lol I got it from a guy that found it 6" in the mud in front of a nursery. I have a 1950 Buick 2 door that I just bought from my brother that is sitting in the grass right now but still in all original condition. Straight 8, 6 volt and all. How about yourself? If I could go back and choose and instrument it would be vocals for sure. I had too much stuff to carry. lol What's your ride man?

Yea Drummers got a lotta gear, I actually started out with percussion til high school. Couldn't afford a kit so I bought a guitar. My ride is a 63 chevy C20 on air ride. I have several other projects, most don't run tho.

Welcome to the HAMB. Now for the advice. Read the rules about posting and never challenge an old head as some of them actually know what they talk about. After a while you will know who. The number of posts seems to be very important to some but I think that quality posts are better than the volume. You will see some with 4,000 or so posts that come in and say something like "wow I never knew that" or some such without adding any input to the thread. That one is only surfing for a higher post count. Don't do that. If you send 10 Quality posts that makes you better than someone who sent 3,000 "Wowser"posts. Help to spread your knowledge and glean information from all.

    Hey, 270dodge....
Interesting that I have found at least three posts from you. All worded exactly the same. "Cut and Paste"? Why is this done? Seems kinda weak.

Well now, was what I said true? Was it good advice to a new guy? Copy and paste is not such a bad thing if the message is correct. Was my message wrong? Some use the same thing like Welcome from Bla Bla California over and over to gain a number and that's my point.

Seems kinda strong to me. Did I say anything wrong in that post?Read it. How could you better prepare new people? If you can tell me how to do that do so. Would it be better to just say howdy or some such? Again - did I say anything that was wrong? If so correct me.

Thanks all for the welcomes, advice, and humor. Looking forward to checking out rides and sharing our love and respect for our culture. I know there is a certain criteria to follow and I assure you that I am not here to pad my numbers. :D I have much respect for the traditionalists and those that have more tenure in the art. Looking forward to learning different techniques and gaining new wisdom.
