Thanks for your concerns, about the fire!

  1. It's a C6. I've replaced almost everything that was old. I guess now it's time for the starter, ignition switch and battery. I tried what I could with the limited tools I had with me,6'' Cresent, and a small screwdriver,HA HA! It's been running so good for such a long time,I guess I got complacent...

  2. Glad to hear your home was spared. Must look pretty nasty around there though.

  3. My neighborhood was lucky! It was close enough to feel the heat from my front yard. Hot enough to feel like you were standed next to a camp fire!

  4. Looks like you were one of the lucky ones. Glad everything turned out OK for you. Did you get any more pictures of the fires. I don't want to sound like some kind of weirdo, and I know that it is horrific for those who lost so much, but some of those pictures are very interesting to those of us who have never lived in those areas. You don't see shots like that - up close and personal - on the evening news. I hope this doesn't come off as being insensitive.

  5. No,the two I posted are the only ones I took. I tried to drive up to the burned area today, but they are only letting in residents.

  6. Now the fun will begin...make sure you really ask your insurance agent alot of questions about cleanup, food losses, etc. Proper cleanup will cost a fortune...my buddy's body shop ran into the tens of thousands...my shop at home wasn't covered and it took a long time to get it suitably clean though there is still ash in some areas a year later...good luck
