Hey Ron,
It did cross my mind that some of us may have been banned for going over the limit of the rules...But, to get that sinking feeling out, my wife suggested a drive up and down the OC coast line to go visit a cool Xmas theme nursery, (no, not that kind) have a great chicken chili lunch, and do some grand daughter Xmas shopping.

The lunch and shopping were our favorites, but the drive on a sunny day with the ocean right next to us was pretty amazing. That coastline drive took out some of the thoughts about website writings, etc. It made me want to rewrite some of the stuff to make sure it was appropriate and fit into the rule parameters.

But the drive was the thing...No freeway drives for us today. It was a great way to spend the day, despite all of the winter traffic on Highway 1 through Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar, and Newport Beach. Doesn't anyone work during the day anymore? Or were they having HAMB withdrawal, too?

Thanks for bringing the site back up, Ryan. It did make everyone utilize their time in different ways. There is life on the other side of hot rods and drag racing. Ha !

I didn't realize how much I depend upon this place to escape the drudgery of the day.

 

Thanks Ryan for all you do! The HAMB is my AM routine before work, periodic escapes from my hell at work during the day and PM wind down before retiring for the day.
I realized real quick how much I frequent the HAMB and how there's no replacement for it on the web.

Wasn't worried at all. only checked the site 40 or 50 times during the day, (not to mention a few more times in the evening and a couple before I went to bed). Big thanks to the unsung computer wizards who brought the place back!

AAAAAH, it's back up, I was getting a bit shaky there for a while.

 

I was actually on time for work, early even. Then I just sat there and looked at the wall thinking, so this is what normal people do, huh.

 

Wife thought I was gonna chew my arm off.
Quitting smoking was easier.

...felt lost all day, had to go dig up some old magazines to browse thru...better now.

 

This ordeal reminded me that I need to renew my alliance membership. A few years ago I may have drifted away. Now, I’m back in the H.A.M.B. habit. I like this place.
