my condolences to you and your family, I hope you make the best of your visit with your family Have as good a trip as possible under the cir***stances
Today was my fathers burial in New York. There was an awesome ceremony. Also had 2 Marines come out and present me with my fathers flag from serving. I was incredibly honored. The weather here is incredible. Has been 88 degrees and sunny. Alot of stuff to go through and sort out. It's hard seeing old pictures of my pops. And going through his items to see what we can bring back with us. What a great man. I miss him terrible. I know he is in a better place now. And will be watching over me for a long time to come. I want to thank everyone for all the kind words and support. I look forward to coming home and hanging my fathers war medals on the wall. I have here a picture for you guys. My pops always talked about when he first met my mother in Niagara falls in the late 50's early 60's. He told me how he would pick my mom up in his big ol caddy and race all the locals in it. Many a pink slip he came home with. (back when guys were not chicken to lose thier rides from racing) Enjoy NAILHEAD
My condolences brother. I lost mine right before Christmas 99. You will get through it and after the reality of him being in a better place kind of soaks in you will be left with a bigger part of him inside you than you realize. And for that you will be daily grateful for the rest of your life.
I'm so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your family. Your Pops and I are almost the same age. It's those great memories of him that will warm your heart and help take the hurt off the empty place without him. God bless you and give you strength through the coming days.
