Sitting here feeling pleased with myself, I just managed to shorten a Ford 100E driveshaft, and adapt it to the Sierra 5 speed output flange. That's another tick in the box for my Ford Pop buildup. I dont know why, but with every car I've built, there seems something significant about bolting that prop in place. It's a vital piece of the jigsaw, and has to be just right. A word of warning: I wanted to do the adaption by welding to the output flange, but it is some strange material, cast malleable or sintered even, would have been really brittle if welded to. I'll update my site with a few photo's to show how I got around that difficulty when I get a chance. PS the work was done on my pre war (WW1 that is) Hendey flat belt drive lathe. I get a kick out of old machinery. Mart.
I bet you got some of them old overalls too or a dirty old brown smock with calipers in the top pocket, i can see you there now!
