The 15oz. Coupe inspired a new look for my 32 5W

One of my favorite cars at the CHRR was "The Original 15oz. Fuel Coupe".

It has a wicked old school, hard core drag look accentuated by those vintage dark magnesium BIG and little wheels.

I uncovered my 32 Ford this weekend in preparation for some cruising. The last time I played with the car I put some old M&H 28.5x10 slicks on the 15x11 polished Halibrands. I just wasn't feeling it.

I wanted to give the car MORE of a drag look. Say what you want about an adjustable ladder bar with coil over setup. But a quick adjustment in the back allowed me to raise the rear enough to bolt on some OLD 31x13-15 M&H slicks. The wheels are crusty magnesium 15x10 American 5 spokes.

For the front, I pulled out the 15x4 American Lemans. Nice and dark from years of sitting. I mounted on some front bias ply drag 5.50 drag tires so now both front and rear tires are illegal for street use. Perfect! LOL

I started the car up last night and terrorized my small town for about 1/2 hour. What a blast.

I took these pics this morning.

Oh yeah... Fab32, I left the side pipes on just for you! LOL

Neat. Definitely looks ready for business. Amazing how such a small change makes such a big difference. Hope nobody lets their sprinklers flood the street, though. Could get interesting in a heartbeat, if you know what I mean.

WOW! I didn't think you're coupe could look any better but I was wrong. It looks totally evil now. Better get some wheelie bars on it though!

haha, no shit, they gotta go.

I cant find anything I'm that crazy about though.

I also need to get a full exhaust on it. The fumes inside the car are killing me.

I like the old school drag look that is has now.It does look like its ready for the track. The blower idea would also be neat.

I agree a old Hilborn would look kick ass!

  15. To bad your headers are shiny, I bought the straight 40 inch long 3 1/2 inch pipe from speedway and put their auger style mufflers in them. I made up a hanger for them on the side and it was a simple exhaust setup.

Man that totally changed the vibe of the car, much meaner, the pipes don't bother me as much with the new wheels either...

Headers: Remove the side pipes, jam in a removable baffle. Wrap the chrome headers in either white or black header wrap. DONE

  26. Needs a push bar. Weed burner pipes would look right too. And an Enderle or Hilborn injection set up with tennis balls in the velocity stacks when parked. It also should have a rowdy ass long duration cam. Rrrrump! Rrrrump! Rrrrump!

Kind of along the same lines, I found this '34 in a R&C little book from June '60. Fronts are '36 Harley Davidson and the rears are magnesium Palimedes. Engine is a GMC blown 351ci Chrysler with Enderle injection.. get you some! :D

Took the pic with my camera phone, sorry. I dig your coupe SP!

    and with black header wrap.
