You sure there NOS? it sounds like they could be Aftermarket .. the originals had the bar that stuck out at each side and slid into the brackets on the quarters.. the center would of been a swing.. the after markets have a straight up and down bracket with a screw at the bottom.. and on each skirt there are 2 brackets.. that are held in place by a stove bolt and wing nuts.. does this sound like it would be the same?

They are definately NOS, has round bars that stick out on each side of the fender and a handle on a swing that moves up and down with a flat piece that grabs the bottom of the fender. I'll try to get some pics uploaded.

rrunner---I have a complete upper hatch from a 56 Plymouth Suburban. Glass, seal and metal are good. I was going to keep it in case I needed it for my 55 but sounds like you need it more. PM me with a phone number or email address and I will be in touch. I am in NY so shipping may be pricey. Best wishes on the new project.

ramrod36, I sent a pm with my #. A complete hatch would be GREAT! I would also be interested in speaking to you about your wagon and seeing some pics. Looks like a clean ride.

  19. I have a 56 Dodge Royal Lancer that Ibought from a guy in Aurora CO. The car is complete right down to the factory service manual. It didn't run when I picked it up but got it running two days later. Had to quit driving it when the engine developed a knock in it. I have a 57 Desoto 345 Hemi with the factory dual 4 intake and a T-10 4 speed when i start on it . I will see if I can get picture posted this weekend. By the way I'm looking for a rear window for it. I bought one brand new and it was 3" to wide.

You suppose it has something to do with the red paint running down the panel?

    It's not mine, it's a sleeper, it's not really in the range ('55-'56), it's pretty cool though and it's a Hemi....
