Here are a couple pics of my rough 55. I'm about 75% done with the straight axle install. Front sheet metal is just hanging loosely in these pics for mock-up purposes.

I got mine from a guy in Kentucky for $400. He was restoring a 4 door - and got my 2 door to use for parts. I guess either the 2 door parts wouldn't work for him - or he couldn't bring himself to part out a 2 door so he put it up for sale. I'm not sure why someone would restore a 4 door over a 2 door..... but to each his own!

    My 56 Plymouth Savoy.

Fourth owner. Flathead 230 with 3 on the column. Original owner was a little old lady who lived in Arizona. Desert car has no heat, no radio, and no back up lights, but at least she decided to get the turn signals, cigar lighter, tinted glass and the optional oil filter.

Had big plans for it when I got it... 11 years ago. Restored it instead, so it only has minor safety changes. Has all of the original chrome and stainless. Have to replace some of the glass though - need a good source.

my old beater '55 Belvedere... miss the thing. sold it to a HAMBer (radman) about 6 or so years ago... car went to Texas. some progress was made... then i heard it was up for sale.

would really like to know where it is now. radman isn't around anymore, doesn't seem to be on any of the mopar forums, either.

it had a '72 383/727, Volare front clip, TJ interior, DP-90, the ass-ugliest wheels, and perfect chrome all around.

I bought the 3 pieces of chrome that go on the bottom of the front portion of a hood for a 56 Ply from wildcat - I talked to him & he said they were real good shape & I gave him his asking price which was high & when I got them they were so bad I couldn't even get them chromed - so I would never buy anything from him again.

Hey Mongo, Jermey (with the blue and white 55) bought a 55 2 door wagon here local. It's a very solid and untouched car. He can't wait to fix it up.

I just had a '56 Dodge PU project follow me home from the Goodguys show today here in AZ. Didn't really need another project but it was a real straight/no rust desert truck and now it's in the side yard. Pics soon - my camera is busted.

Thanks! I have debated many times what I should do with the car. As a stock car its an interesting enough design that it gets plenty of attention. Color isn't quite stock, but it matches the interior that the previous owner had just had completely when I got it.
I'm in Pensacola - might as well be Alabama :)
