Thank you for sharing all of that, how cool. I'm from OKC and my dad's buddy, Jack Byers, was friends with Melvin Heath('56 champion). I was fortunate enough to listen in on some stories about that car, running it on nitro, etc... You have alot of fascinating memorabilia, including your pops old hotrod! Thanks again for sharing.

Wow, what memories. I was 20 years old & just married & we drove up from Shreveport La in my custom 53 Ford convertable to take in the races & car show as lookers, not particapents. A friend had his T bucket in the car show but he did win. Somewhere around here I still have 1 damaged photo of my 53 convertable. Will see if I can find it and scan & post it. Jimmie
