Good question. Guess we'll have to watch and learn when we get there. Hoping the rain will be gone by Saturday.

  18. Great time - good waether (well one quick shower), good show, plenty of spectator parking, good food, good racing - what more can you ask for.

See you tomorrow at Ty-Rods 40th!

Dennis, the weather got really bad later in the day.It seemed they ended the racing early( Airport told them that rain storms were on the way). They ran off 4 cars & took away the barriers! kind of sucked for the rest of us.
Anyway we all sat around in the ran with Pete Flaven & 50Dave & talked about everyone who wasn't at the show!!lol Rain most of the way home till we got to "lil Rhody".
It was good to see you with Luke.See ya next Saturday.

Thanks, John and crew for another great show. I love running on the untreated airport surface, that is exactly how my car built to run on. Looking forward to running there again next year.

[IMG] We arrived at the track at 6:45 AM. The line was already a mile long, but moved quickly when the gates opened at seven.

[IMG] I have about a dozen pictures of the cars that were in the pits in the vicinity of our pit area. I never got a chance to make it over to the show area, so I appreciate the pictures people have been posting already. It would be hard to pick a favorite car there, but this is one I really liked.

[IMG] This car is another favorite...The paint is a blend orange and gold with all the right sixties touches.

[IMG] The fellow who owned this car said it was the original Orange Peal. Famed chassis builder Pete Tropeano built an raced the Orange Peal in sixties.

[IMG] Steve Tanzella's 56 Chevy was an all out race car. The car has been converted back to street use but still runs at all the nostalgia meets.

[IMG] Dave's 32 is a real 50's hot rod. This car just screams airport drags...
