it was a great day but the one thing i have to complain about is the way people staged for practice, alot of car were just driving up on the L&R side & going to the front!I personally watched that 2 dr sedan with the 2 turbos , the yellow & orange vette & the orange peel make 2-3 p***es while i waited my turn.It wasn't fair & seemed to be a complaint from alot of people.

[IMG] The Snappa Trappa altered made the trip down from New Hampshire. In the back round you can see Bill Kearney's new double engine dragster, built by David Beard.

[IMG] We split when the bad weather rolled in, just one of the draw backs of the open trailer. On the trip home we p***ed the Strokers Car Club from Springfield, MA. They had their original dragster, with a cool Chrysler or Dodge tow car. If you could photoshop the new vehicles out of the picture, it would look like 1959.

Jim, They could use some refining in the staging lanes to make it run a little smoother. I can't speak for the other cars, but the cars without cooling systems need special considerations. We towed our altered up the left lane, got strapped in waited till we were called.

You are right about the cars with no cooling systems, i understand that but heres a pic of me waiting on the lines & if you notice the yellow Vette is in the wrong lane & a GREMLIN!!(lol) I do believe that 1970 AMCs had a radiator in them. The Guy in the yellow Vette was doing this all day.lol

It was a great time, I noticed some cars got more runs than others.
I think the best apporach is to contact the promoter privately and calmly and express your concerns/ideas.
He is very willing to listen to peoples input. He made that know on a personal level as well as over the PA system during the pre race announcements.
He is a good guy doing a great job, lets not focus on a few negative point, just work on making it a little smoother for next year.

I waited in line for practice runs for over an hour while other guys made 3 to 4 runs, I watched them just slide down the L & R lanes than cut in just at the entrance! After my 1 run of the day it took me another 1/2 hour to get back to my pit because the pit lanes were being used for staging lanes......

For some reason I missed the announcement for the X cl***,,,,so I didn't get any racing in?? Oh well.

It was a great day though......was the racing finished?? Or did it end early due to the forecast???

I don't think they were going to "run" the X cl***.I think thats why they let X cl*** run all they wanted during the lunch break (again i saw other cl***es out there).

You might try using the contact info from the reunion website, or just pm'ing the original poster of this thread (LH Thread)- John is the one who puts the show on.

It was a great time yes there was a lot of guys sliding by the L/R side but its all in fun guys right? its not a national event? needs a little fine tuning is all maybe call all muscle cars for there practice for a time limit and then the rest just a thought.

I want to thank John and his crew for putting the show on you guys did a awesome job and thanks to all the sponsors aswell.
