Not really much to this one...'34s are a pretty simple chop unless you go Kiwi Kev style.

Here she is with her big tall tractor cab roof.

You gotta get the roof on the ground pic...

This is her pretty much all stuck back together. I used Rockys as a refence point and his is 3 1/2 and I wanted to go just a teeny bit more, so I did an even 4". Once she is sitting a tad lower and in shiny black, I think she will be just fine.

    See ya, -Abone.

  2. I'm crating up my 455 poncho for my model a right now....It and my model a should be on there way to you tomorrow.....You can have it done next month, right? ;)

    Seriously good work here!

  3. Abone, I have a build thread going on one of these myself. Looks good. I think I'll chop mine a tad more though. Any more shots during the process? What made you keep the top hinge on the door. Just personal preference?

I might have one or two pics, but I'm a get workin and forget to take pics kind of guy. I looked at Kiwi Kevs thread a BUNCH before I cut mine. If you are doing a heavy chop, his thread is a good one to steal ideas from.

As for the top hinge...I didn't use the top hinge in my Model A and the door kind of wiggles in the hole without it. The top hinge adds a bunch of stability, even with a bear claw style latch.

    See ya, -Abone.

PS. I have been following your thread..the 32 reveal idea is pure genius.

You snuck this thread back up on me... I don't really have anything cool to report. I'm mostly doing stuff that needs done, but not much glory. Finishing the chop, finishing the door hinges, stuff like that.

I did get my inner splash aprons from Howells...

And, I made some shock and headlight mounts. I scored the headlights from a kind HAMBer in Kentucky..

I also spent an ASS LOAD of money on a new Bob Drake grille...It's gonna take a while to recover from that one, but it sure is pretty..

Gonna build the quick change and rear suspension next...should have some new pics this weekend.

Thanks for all the nice words guys. -Abone.
