Wide fives are like the "knucklehead" of hot rods. It's like I keep flinching from fear of getting cold cocked! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Here is a little update ... I spent the week getting the car fit up so the chassis could go to paint . I rushed like hell Friday to get the car blown apart so. My buddy could shoot it in his booth .. I dropped it off Friday night at 9 o'clock . By Sat morning I had all the components . Sunday morning he called and the chassis was ready .. which is today.... today has been long ! I assembled the entire chassis , aligned it, ran brake lines , andI'm just about ready to set the engine and trans back in... I still have clamps to install the line clamps. I had to put disconnects in the center of the frame so the lines were removable . next week we are painting the underside of the body so I am bolt it down for good .. here's a few photos Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
My trans was totally rebuilt , but I wanted to just check it out and reseal it .. so I finished that up, shot some red on it and set the motor in its final resting place. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Hi Been! I'm curious about the gearbox, it's an A883 Barracuda? I got a Hot rod Ford and two dollars bill!

Some updates . I've been swamped with work and haven't had time to do much at all. I had a few small spots to weld on the body then We got the underside all seam sealed and painted . My custom radiator arrived. Absolutely no room for a mechanical fan. So I have to run a 12" electric fan to clear the pulley. I got one that flows 2250cfm. Which is a boat load for the size . It'll work just fine . Clutch linkage is all done. Brakes are all done and blead out. Spent some time and narrowed up the gas pedal to clear the distributor. I put the welting on for the body mount bolts. The self adhesive back is really nice for keeping it in place . I also picked up a new tig welder yesterday . Lincoln square wave 175. Time to start playing ! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Body is back on ! Thanks to the guys in my club for freezing their asses off at 10 o'clock at to get this thing loaded up and set in place ! Had the new driveshaft cut to length and new u joints installed . Also installed the bulkhead fitting for the fuel supply line, and the rollover tank vent valve. I've been fighting the doors . Big time ! The male and female dovetails do not line up . And the dovetails from vintage are absolutely garbage. So I ordered some united pacific adjustable dovetails for the doors. Then had to cut apart the female ends and re align everything . What a pain in the ass! Sent the fire wall out for sand blasting . I just wasn't happy with it not being fresh. It goes to paint Monday Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Fitting my old Moon fuel block ... such a great story behind this specific part. It was once at bonneville. I promised the old dude I'd get it back there some day . I have an oil cleaner from the same bonneville car. It may just go along for the ride to bonneville as a package, just to show it's was there exactly 50 years since the last time it saw the salt . Also finished up the fuel lines all the way up the car. Installed the radiator cap and bezel ... ford emblem cracked the instant I tightened it down... good stuff !!
