Well I finally got to put some real mileage on the 40. Last weekend got it legal, took it on a shakedown run that put me at the cruise night in Jefferson City Saturday night. By the time I got home I probably clocked about 70 miles for the day. Went through a downpoor, car never skipped a beat, just got a little wet due to no door gl***. I had almost forgotten the feeling of driving an old hot rod, loved every minute of it. Its colder than a well diggers *** today but had to go for a little drive today, took the opportunity to snap some pics of it, not in the garage. I tried getting a little artsy.

Hell Rusty I felt bad after seeing your post on the 38 thrash, I couldnt live with myself anymore. I had to break it out. See you at the HAMB drags. Trailer Ed I thought about calling you today but didnt know if you'd break out the roadster. Me and the wife cruised over to Hooligans for lunch. It does a pretty good smokey burnout.

car looks great. what diameter are those air cleaners and where did you get them? i've been talking to eric(vaphead), he can only get them in 12 inch diameter. i'm looking for some close to 8-10 inches.
Rick those are 7 1/2". I purchased them from Night Prowlers. If you are ruinning an Edelbrock manifold I think you might still have a problem with the carb spacing.
You sure came a long way on that and it looks right on. Glad to hear you got to put some miles on it and it brought back good times. p.s. I still want that intake setup.....lol
Cool '40 Greezy. Nothing better than the first ride in a hot rod you've been working on for a while. Windshield time is what it's all about for me too. Congrats for getting her on the road.

Inspirational seeing as I'm just a month or 2 from driving my 40 Tudor! Hoods were an option in 40 wern't they?
