I know this isn't right but in the first pics I admit, I thought to myself, wow, what a nice driver that car would make.

You guys make it look easy. I’m ***uming that you had everything planned before the build even started judging by how smoothly it went.

Thank you, billsat, I did not include many of the photos, just the condensed version here. My father is not too big on technology so he didn't take many photos, mainly my brother did when he would visit. For the most part the project went pretty smooth. The car was in great condition so that was an enormous help. But yes you are correct, I think he built this car in his mind several times before he ever turned a wrench on it. He had a great solid plan and he stuck to it, so that helps. He's built/restored several cars in the past so he knew what he was getting himself into. He sold an incredibly nice Mustang he owned to fund this project. That allowed him to hit the ground running.

Wow, what an exceptionally good car to begin with. You'd be hard pressed to locate an original one that good to start with; makes the transformation so much easier! I love what's been done and how it turned out!

So I'm in town visiting my parents. As it turns out there was a cruise-in in town this evening. We brought the Comet and the 40 Ford.
Now that the Comet is all dialed in, it's time for some fun!
My dad let me drive the Comet...wow...ok I'm quite envious......to say the least!!! It is an absolute blast to drive, its fast, rides great, shifts great, and imho looks awesome. I snapped some photos of it when we got home. Thought I'd share since the car is "officially" ready to enjoy.
