I was just sitting here moments ago when there came a quick rap at the door... I went to investigate, and alas...the Mystery Knocker was gone...but he left a PACKAGE! I haul it inside...eyes darting back and forth to watch for snipers or Enemy Spies...and scurry down to the comfort and safety of my basement lair to examine the strange box more closely! Inside, I find an AM-FM/8 Track player with cryptic writing upon it... "Do not use use with plastic gas tanks or V6 engines!" Breathing a sigh of Relief, I conclude that the stern warning was intended for someone ELSE, as I have altered My Plan to include a plastic gas tank and a FOUR CYLINDER engine! HA! But...what's THIS??? There's MORE??? Ah-HA! A vintage 8-track carrying case containing essential works by such artists as Elton John, Neil Diamond, Simon And Garfunkle and The Rolling Stones! Glory BE! The Hackmobile shall have....TUNES!!! Thanks, Gregg!!!! Boogie-ooogie--ooogie!!!
Cool. You get any Paul Revere & the Raiders? I've got an old Kraco in a box here somewheres. Ran outa 1969 electrons to run it on tho.
Remember how to use a pen to pull the tape out of an 8-track tape to tighten it, then give it a quick pull and release to spin it back into the case? I used to fix hundreds of those friggin things. High School Girls thought I was a magician Hero! Also, why does it always seem to switch tracks in the middle of the best song on the tape? What record company jackass did that? "There is a house in New Orleans, They ca{KER_CHUNK}ll the Rising Sun"...
Johnny Rivers Live at the Whisky a go-go... damn best 8 track ever made... "She came in through the bathroom window..." Sam.
8-Tracks make great windshield scrappers...! Lots of surface cleaned on each swipe...! When you're done you just knock the snow and ice out of the tape and plug it into the floormounted Craig Powerplay and you're off and running!!! I think that's how I destroyed my Frank Zappa and the Mothers of invention tape! It died when I was listening to "TITTIES AND BEER"...! I miss that tape...! Mark
