  1. The car was always topless however I wanted to see what it would look like with a hood...

Had to throw in my only magazine shot at the Last Good Guys in Madison WI... I'm the chubby guy with the Black hat and shorts!

This thread is so true. Now that you mention it, my first car was a '69 Bug convertible. I was 15 years old, and worked all summer at the car wash to save up the cash. I had been looking at other bugs, and when i finally found this one, i was hooked.
It was beat to shit and needed floor boards, a new oil seal, and the night before I went to go see it. someone stole the back seat and sliced out the back window! I got it for $900. Once the owner took me for a ride with the nice SoCal weather, I was sold and hooked for life!
My second one was the flatty powered model T in my avatar, I really miss that car. Especially this summer. I sold it last year,,
But before I sold it, I was able to participate in the Pasadena Roadster club's reliability run,
So now, I am building a 40's style 29 flatty powered hiboy roadster on model A frame. My goal is to have it running and driving for next years PRC run, and LARS!

  3. I love a hot summer night cruising in the 28 rpu or the 70 torino rag. During the day thou, i like the top up. Seems hotter than riding my mc during the day.Helmut is actually cooler in my opinion. Getting caught in the rain in the 28 rpu is not realy fun. Since the AR 28 did not have a folding roof i have to leave the roof at home. I have side curtains when i have the roof on and work great.
