I was wonderin what was taking so long for the weekend art show to kick off...it is almost Friday, for cryin out loud!

Here's me in the summer of '77 "Workin' it" on a Dodge van with a custom graphic. I was outlining all the graphics.

 

Here I is after the job is finished and the work is "signed". I then enjoy a cool beverage and practice my gang signs for the next days lettering job on the Westside of Chicago.

PPoC Rocks! I always enjoy seeing the old pics, Joel. I'll bet all those graphics were a real chore to outline!

As for putting down the brush...if people would just GIVE me money I would gladly stop painting! The scallops are actually a vivid tangerine flake...

Here are a few of our shift knobs that are being re-molded and rereleased soon...
We're getting geared up to finally do that How-To on creating your own shift knobs...

This is classic Roth character, "Mother's Worry", intended as a floor shifter knob...

 

This shrunken head prototype had a prior release, mainly in the NorthEast... Here is the primered original of this column shifter...

 

Here's the prototype to "King 4-Speed"...

 

Last one for now... and a strange one, at that: We were invited to participate in a primarily graffiti-artist-type gallery show in NYC... The subject was subway trains... Naturally, we did this:

Johnny, I dig the King 4 Speed and the shrunken head knobs...really cool. Nice scallop work, too, you two.

Where's Hami?...he hasn't posted in ages. Actually, it seems like lots of "old timers" haven't posted in awhile. Sailor? Unkl Ian? McPhail? K-Member? Where's the Harpoon? Even some new comers that haven't been heard from recently...Jime'? Josh Ford?

 

Thanks Dan...can't take credit for the scallops,though..Hans laid out and painted the flake and scallops- Kali did the striping....

Dan's around...he's been a little busy lately...maybe he'll drop in soon. I sure do miss seeing his art. I think he's one of the most talented people on the HAMB. For those newbies to the HAMB/Art Show...here's a little Picasso...
