I used to hang out with some guys from North Jersey that ran a purple roadster body and an injected Buick nailhead. This was at Atco Dragway in the mid 60s. Does anyone remember this car?

 

Looking for information on this car if anyone has it raced in la area 59-62 had a 58 vette fuelie motor in it at the time

 

The "Jewel T " Briefly owned by Ron Zavarella, then it was stolen and never recovered.

What is that little thingie that appears to be zip-tied to the tie rod?

 

With the wayback machine set to 1962, these popped up. Two of my old favorites….

A really nice flathead powered Fiat.

 

The axle and spindles are from a Willys and the axle was modified to use a transverse spring. What appears to be a zip-tie is the radius rod bracket mounting the clevis and lower tube of the radius rod.

 

Thank you Fordors. Since the rest of the radius rod was hidden from view and the bracket appeared to wrap around the tie rod like a zip tie I was confused. Now I see.

 

GREAT thread, this is a HB Torana. Will try to gain some details and update.

 

At first glance I thought it was a Opel Kadet. Cool car what ever it is.
