The baddest altered pic ever IMO.

 

I was wondering the same thing? The early Harrell, Borsch and Muse version?

 

Not a positive ID but the gentleman on the right resembles Nick Harrell, but no idea as to the other guys. Nick and his brother Jim ran the car and it was lettered Jim’s Auto Parts with Willie as the driver, the wing came along in 1965. By ‘66 Jim Harrell wanted out and Al Marcellus partnered with Willie to run the car. Because the car has the wing and is not lettered I think this might have been right after it was sold to Willie and Mousie.
I saw the car in the staging lines for qualifying at IRP in 1967, or maybe it was ‘68. Willie was sitting on the ground, leaning against the car napping and Mousie showed us Willie’s tarantula that was kept in a gl*** jar.

From the looks of that ch***is it looks like Frank may have specialized in farm machinery repair.

 

The pastor at my church years ago knew I liked cars and racing. He once mentioned that his Uncle in Akron raced and I just thought some weekend warrior, stock car. Then the pastor showed up with a photo of his Uncle Otie's car. WOWZERS!! A blown Hemi Altered!!!

Just a few years ago the builder of the Otie's Fiat tribute car (the build was do***ented here on the HAMB) showed up at my local track at Sikeston MO for the Bootheel Fuel and Gas Drags. Beautiful car. My pastor enjoyed seeing photos I took of "Uncle Otie's" Fiat.
