All those Ford nitro coupes like 554 and 15 oz and Geisler's look so bad ***, but considering how much thrashing a team does on a car like that, must've been hell working on them with the cowl in the way all the time.

...like, who made the 4-hole rear wheels?
The front suspension looks like it may be a transverse torsion bar, similar to dragsters and some funycars at that time.

    Early Halibrands - maybe 1959-62. I’ve got a pair of 16x10s. I had 15x10s on my ‘33 5w in high school.

This is the car, but it has US slots with Indy tires for driving on vacation in this picture. My GF Nancy and I had just graduated. At this point I had 10.50-15 M&H slicks on the Halibrands for the drags and Indy tires for everyday driving. The tech guys at Lions put my ‘33 in the B/A cl*** on Saturdays because of no front fenders. I didn’t stand a chance in B/A.

I’m on my cell phone @bchctybob but that looks like a BBC running a 715 CFM Holley with the LeMans fuel bowls. Good looking car!

Yep. 396/Muncie 4 spd/Corvette IRS. I bought the Corvette rear end and the Holley from Carman Pisano, I was working at Wedge Engineering part time. It was one of those weird ones. Probably worth a bunch now.

Yeah I've commented on this pic before. That whole deal, the killer rat motored Ford, the gorgeous California girl, and the kid with a look on his face like the cat that ate the canary. Must've been rough going!

Jerry Rushing was a helper on this car when he was a teenager. He now owns the car and has restored it to exactly the way it was in its prime. He also worked with Bob Nylander on the restored Pure Heaven II on occasion.
