So, is there any interest in an altered organization similar to the SE Gassers? Tons of organizations out there for Gassers, but nothing for period correct altereds.
We just need to get a few guys with similarly matched cars to compete. The folks need to be at least in the same basic region. Maybe try and make the Hamb Drags, the Day of the Drags, Meltdown Drags etc. The Fly is fixing to get a facelift. It's in sad shape.

Thats out of my league Old Sparks. I am just looking for guys that wanna get together and match race on a budget. The red Fiat on his classglassperformance page was built by a local guy I know. The car was called Spartacus. I asked him why he named it that and he said, he just liked the sound of it over the PA.

can`t run in the 6`s anymore , to expensive so I built a bantam coupe with a six. didn't like it so I`ve since put a small block in it and not tired of it yet. didn't mean to sound like I`m running with the fuel group I run low 10`s to hi 9`s with this car

Low 10s, high nines is the sweet spot for an affordable low maintenance altered. I must be getting old though. Haven't even started the coupe in a year and half.
Ypu can have a ton of fun between 9.60 and 10.50, i learned a long time ago it is better to race with what you got then not race with what you don't have. I love all the fuel altered stuff but the reality is lower class gas altereds out numbered the fuel cars 10 to one
