Found this one in a late 60's Drag Racing Handbook... Sent from my QTASUN1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
LOL we must be on the same wavelength. Bet my loudbangs are louder but they don't scare the***** out of you because you know when they are coming
Howard Haight doing a great burn out. I believe that Howard is the most underrated driver in the NHRA along with Mike Boyd. Both can drive anything that makes loud noise and goes bang.
Bill Toyler Mr. Smooth. Ford FE power EDIT: from NHRANUT his name is Bill "Tovlin" not yet Mr. Smooth Now Mr. Smooth
Interesting to note the historical progression on Mr. Smooth to a lower and lower stance accompanied by bigger and better tires.
It's Bill "Tovlin" and he still has the car and races it. Has an injected BBC in it now, but looks much like it did back in the day. I believe it was 1965 he built it, so he's been racing it for 53 years.
BBA Crosley known as the Blue Goose, raced by Peterson, Bowman and Steele of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Gerstner's K & L Racing Products
I don’t see any restrictions about it, but here’s a 32 bantam I saw at LSR! Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I'v seen fuel altered from the old days where the driver's helmet is taller than the roll bar. The rules were sort of lax back then to say the least.
The thought of "frenching in" a roll bar into the roof corners just for looks and with no apparent function just seems so wrong to me. But so do two blowers stacked on top of each other and three foot tall shift levers so what do I know.
The roll bar unbolted at a flange and raised with the body. This car was primarily a show car, but I have seen photos of it at the track. Wonder what became of this car?
I know this is completely off topic but I could not find a way to contact you besides on a post. The Frenchtown Flyer can you email me at gknipe081@cbcsd.org. I have a 81 ford with the 300 and a 87 with the efi 300 but none of the efi stuff is on it. Im looking to build one of them for my commuter/toy and am lost. Iv read about a 1000 post everyone saying different things and Iv came to the conclusion that your probably the most knowledgeable about this, please email me I might be asking a lot but it'd be appreciated greatly I'm 18 and this will be my first engine build.
Great shot. Boyd left on Larry, but Larry passed him at half track. Another successful****le defense for the blue coupe.
Heath Automotive EDIT: from Dean Lowe it is REATH Automotive. Lil Screamer Mr. jinx EDIT: From The Frenchtown Flyer. that is HI JINX again Nasty Ben Jamlin
