looks very good to me, and at the end of the day its not wood, so you can cut it out and replace it , or beat it into submission! regardless, you have the pride of doing it yourself.

I am looking for a good left hand shift gas tank. I have a very nice set of right hand shift tanks But want it to be left hand shift.
I bought a left hand set off Ebay but the fuel side is in terrible shape (was covered in bondo). If I don't find a reasonably price tank I may cut it apart and try to fix it.
