In my eyes the best of the best is still Harley Earl. The man was a ******** genius.To this day his visions and concepts are cooler than anyones. I can't even imagine what it was like to work with the guy. His mind had to be in overdrive constantly.

 

They are DREAM cars the concept term comes much later!!.......

 

Anyone else think maybe the Triumph GT6 guys in the '60's might have seen this corvair somewhere?

Such a preoccupation with aeronautics, most of these puppies (intentionally) look like they could take off.

The Phantom Corsair has to be the coolest car ever built.

 

That Packard Predictor sure has a lot of the same styling ideas as the '59 Edsel. Great thread. I love these dream cars. I have a book of 60 years of American dream cars. It's a permanent fixture in my porcelain library.

I totally agree. Stunning to say the least. I have been a car guy my whole life. I have never seen one before. What did it have for an engine?

 

A Lycoming V8, same engine as a front wheel drive Cord.
