NICE! Paint DO make the car - reminds me of the Pactra candy lime-gold I painted a bunch 'o models with in the early '60s. Awsome choice IMHO.

 

Color makes the car. That is far better than my first paint job, mine required an entire respray... something about chasing runs and filled the drip rails.

 

How long do you think the color will hold up before it fades without the clear since there is no Uv protection in base coat?

 

Damn, what an amazing difference! WAY better, and depending on the era you're shooting for, I don't dislike the rear tires.

My 51 AWB Ford was done over 4 yrs ago, sees a lot of driving, and still looks really good. Also, it can be repaired/blended endlessly. I met a guy in Paso a while back with an F-1 truck in Tangelo HOK base. He said it's his daily driver, and had numerous, undetectable repairs through the yrs and still looks great

Haha, it hurt my eyes TOO. With a shorter, unknown V-8 in place of the Jimmy 6, it should have the front end way out there, reminiscent of a Dragster. I want it to look like a race car (mid 60's)

 

Bitchin man..I love the color...It looks way better than the leopard print flames.
