THANKS everybody. I'm getting pretty excited about this thing now. All the months looking at it in flat black just didn't "do" it for me. Now I'm ready to burn some rubber. Anyway, I'll be collecting motor parts now. So, except for putting the tailites/door handles/license plate back on, there won't be too much progress for a little while. I'll prolly start figuring out where the motor/grill will end up soon. I'll post more as I progress

That is a TON better. All of these where is the clear coat questions....leave it as is. It looks bad ass!

 

Groucho, you've always got the coolest stuff! The flat black was just AWFUL and the gold is a HUGE improvement.

However, gotta tell you the red/orange version with the injected Jimmy was probably my favorite Deuce ever! Still never seen anything quite like it.

The SBC will be cool... setting the firewall back gives you a lot of options. Here's some inspiration!

Looks killer. I still find it amazing the differance color and tire and wheel combo makes. Before I don't think there is a guy on the HAMB that would have given this car a second look, other than to say "Damn what a waste!" but just try and walk by it now. It wouldn't let you. This thing is what a hot rod should be. It just yells "Hey, get over here and look at me!" great job on bringing her back from the land of lost toys. As for the Cal Custom shark mouth scoops, is anyone repoping those or do you have to find original ones?
