  1. I was at a junk yard once looking at a 56 Ford I wanted. When I ask the guy how much for the whole car, he said "If you can get it away from Meg's, it's yours for free".

Megs turned out to be a giant fucking Rottwieler with a mean as shit dispostion. She had babies in the back seat and no way in hell were you even getting near that car.

I think the car is still there some 15 yers later.

When I was a teen I scrounged just about every junker in back yards in my neighbourhood. I could spot a square roofline over a six foot fence, no problems. First one I got was a 1934 Chev sedan, $6 for the complete car. The elderly owner had climbed under it one day to investigate a diff noise, and had undone the shackle bolts on one side. He had 'supported' the body with a few bricks under the running board, and of course it collapsed and dropped the body on his back. I found the spanner and the nuts on the ground under the axle when I jacked it up to move it. My stepfather drove it home after we pumped up the tyres and fueled her up.

The one I missed was a 1937 La Salle sedan. Nice looking black car, but obviously starting to decay. I offered to buy it and got the snotty, 'I'm going to restore it one day' from the owner, then watched it rot into his front yard. I watched a scrap dealer drag it out of there a few years later, it fell to pieces as he dragged it onto the truck.

    Cheers, Glen.

found a really really nice 33 ford two door sedan and asked if it was for sale..the guy was mentally handicapped and didnt believe me that he had the car sitting under his shed..and he wouldnt let me show him...another deal i found a 49 merc 2 door sitting in a front yard in mason, tx a tree grew up right in front of it and one right behind it...old lady said she doesnt wanna sell it because the trees have to be cut to move it and she likes the shade...found a 29 tudor sedan and tried to buy it but the excuse was''my mom wont let me sell it because she played in it a few times when she was a kid''...so the stuff will all just rot..thats much better anyway..i guess
