I striped this St John Mortom box front and rear for Keiths Kustom Seats in Lauderdale.

 

Wow Stacey, I dont know if these were done more recently than the ones in last weeks artshow, but they look great. The other ones were good, but these look like the real deal. I took photography classes in high school, and its not so easy. Great work!

Very cool stuff, everyone! Hami, thanks for posting that "open" girl...that has to be about 4 years old! I wish I had something to throw into the mix, but I haven't done any car type tattoos,lately and I haven't taken any pics of the bikes I've been striping for FlyRite. ON WITH THE SHOW!

this is something like a birthday gift from my employed to me and my shop , he did it in the time i was surfing in spain , i was so stocked when i saw my shop again ,and he was fucking scared i could not licke it .

 

Deniz, that is way cool! Took balls to do that so I can see where he might be nervous about you not liking it but it turned out awesome! I'll have to get some pics of my skulls I've been working on.

Yes, the were done exactly one week after my first shoot, and thanks! There's a lot of trial and error going on at the moment, but I think I'm getting very close to that magic combination. I was a photo major in college but it's been a very long time since I used any of that, and now I'm shooting digital which is another learning curve altogether.

LOWCAB,
When using your oil pastels you should get a little cup of thinner and play with using it for some of your expressionistic stylizations.

I mean you have it down cold with paint - and oil pastels are some of my favorite to play with.

I did this one (shown on another art post about a year ago) with oil pastels and I used my fingers for blending. Then I showed my art instructor and he suggested the thinner.

I tried it on another painting and had a lot of fun that way. It was surprizingly versatile....
