Thanks for all the interest guys. Almost read to prime and block

 

Split the banana shaped rocker and added some metal in order to get everything on the same plane prior to molding the fender to the rocker and rounding the door corners.

 

Corners turned out nice.

 

Started to strip the hood of its Mercury and Ford paint. I should have it finished this week and back on for finishing.

 

Amazing job! Going to be one of the historys most well built shoeboxes!

I've been thinking whats the best looking radius for them..

Thanks. The hood wound up pancaked an inch or two so the car feels a little wider.

 

Did you have any weather problems yesterday? Hope things are OK

 

Thanks man. The first tornado touched down a half mile from here but everything is ok.

 

Are you planing on "real" paint for the body now or will it be primer again?

I'm not sold on this flathead so I'm holding off.

 

The Hirohata Merc got its Caddy motor transplant just days prior to its famous cross country road trip,
so I guess it's never too late!

 

I'd love to do something similar
