Those tail lights are a great score!
I havent seen much of them for sale.I think rare tail lights will make the kustom treatment more unique,than they would with something more common ones.

I think if like them better if you shave the seams on the fender. Also yes on the lip on the front fenders they look awesome.

Thanks guys. After consulting the King I have decided to go a slightly different route with the tail lights. Much like Chuck Dewitt's.

 

Took these at a local show. Yours is nicer.
I am jealous of his rippled lake pipes!

Thanks, but that's a really nice vert. He has a thread on here from when he restyled it. The tail lights will start after the Relix Riot, and I'll take lots of pics for once.

 

Well these are the 54 pontiac tail lights I'm going to run in the 54 Meteor bezels. Build pics to come.

No T, I am leaving The Black C at home next weekend. I spent too much on tail lights. Lol long story short I thought I lost a bid on the great ones so I bought all the crapier ones as well. Turns out I did win so now I am the proud owner of way too many 53/54 pontiac tail lights and low on car cash. BRENTS car will be there though.

 

Well hope you at least got beer money!!we are going to party like rock stars!!!!!

Found these NOS glowbrite lenses at the Relix Riot swap area. I'm not usually a blue dot guy but these are kind of cool. I am going to start welding tomorrow.

 

I've been following this build. Did you have it at Relix? Seems I would have caught it but then again I am on a lot of meds. lol

In either case, I really like it. Those taillights will look rad on there.

Looks great! I always liked that tail light treatment on Chucks car.

 

On the days I'm off I try to slip out to the garage with the baby monitor while my boy takes his naps. An hour here and and hour there.

 

Thanks, the thing about Chucks car is that it is one of the few cars that has a completely different shaped tail light yet retains and amplifies the existing windsplts.

 

Looks great! I have debating grafting windsplits to my wife's 51 chevy then pontiac taillights.

They look great on Chevys, remember Dennis McPhails. That was one of the first things he did before his big road trip and it looks killer.
