Ya, I noticed as I was "communing" with the Ivo "T", NitroBrother exited the room with a sort of confused look on his face... I have that sort of effect on many...

The NHRA Museun is on the 2015 list of places to see, had a great Frist year at the LARS in 2014. Thanks for the info on the Ivo/Rolland T. There was one like it built on the East Coast in the early 1960's. I'll find the newspaper clipping, car is in the HAMB Family and looks about the same today. Bob

  3. I was just there last month, right after the world finals. I'm leaving on a semi long distance road trip (Jackson, Mo) Christmas afternoon to pick up my new daily driver. so I'll be absent a couple of weeks. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Their is a time when it is alright to temporarily disown even your best friend. One of those times is when unintelligible noises are leaving his mouth and drool is running from the corner of his lips while he stands motionless staring at a car. That would be me the first time I saw Von Franko's Kookie Kar Klone at the Oakland Grand National Roadster show in the late '80s. I told my friends to go on and look at the other show cars and I just stayed there drooling and babbling.

I hear ya! Another problem with a shop radio is my love of several different types of music. My C.D. and Tape playing components died a year or two ago on the current shop rig, leaving just the radio station that I have listened to since I was a teenager to tune into. Unfortunately, although I love the on air staff, (and they are personal friends) the music that is being written today drives me up a wall for the most part.

Which brings us to the second part of this deal. Since I was a kid, I have had a running "mix tape" in my head, 24 hours a day with music. Hang out with me any amount of time and you find I'm a whistler, and a singer type that doesn't really care who is looking. Problem is, this "brain tape" will also absorb tunes I absolutely CAN'T STAND just as quickly as stuff I like!

Judy has a C.D. stuck in her stupid Honda that is a compilation C.D. of Chinese music old and new. About 25 songs, all in Chinese, and all but 2, terrible. Even by my eclectic standards, just awful. This C.D. went into the car in November of 2012 when it came home, and has yet to be removed. It's hers, her ship, she's the captain, it's not my place to change it. Drove around with her on Wednesday last week for a bit, and Friday working on this awful 'glass monstrosity that I have regretted starting on, guess what hit the "brain tape" and wouldn't leave? Yup, the one from that C.D. I hate most, over and over again! So here I am whistling a tune I can't stand, and "singing" (under my breath) a language I can only imitate......

Hey Kiwi, as long as I have you, you never answered my P.M.! Do you need these '35-'41 PERCHES? Or was just perch bolts that you needed. If you need the perches I have, I'll send'em, pronto. If you don't, I'd like to hang on to them for future stuff.

hello all! been watching lately and thought I would show a few pics to help on a few things.
1)dash clutter! cut down on quantity of gauges.
2)you can see torque bars that go from top or banjo (brackets bolted to top of banjo)to bungs welded to front of stock radius rods.
    3)Gas tank,4 gals above and 10 below.

gege…Not sure what the purpose of your post on Chip's thread is but if you didn't expect comments your on the wrong thread.
First let me say I don't think I've seen a better quality build and I'd like to see some full view shots. But what I was wondering is what went into the thought process of you taking so much pains to have a very plain dash and it sounds like you are very proud of that minimalist instrument panel then you install purple shag carpet and install a blue bomb in the bed.
My build is just the opposite with all the autographs and stickers on the dash and the rest pretty much plain T bucket.
Well that's my thoughts and please do post more photos of it.

Many Many years ago I became sooooooooooooo disenchanted with over the air music selections, I like 50/60s music. These type of stations grew few and far between. I also hate all the talk as it interferes with the voices in my head. I went and bought a lifetime membership to Sirius radio. Now I can have what ever music I want anytime. I can take it in any car I have. It is nice to drive from here to Canada and have the same radio station. AND very little talk!!!!!!

Post was for things i read many posts ago and just late in posting.
As far as gas tank goes i am showing the gas guage that is an old oil tank float quage for those that might need the idea.
The real tank is under the car and can remove the bomb if i ever desire but it was somewhat of a timing thing that was in my collection and said why not?
Will post more when i think i have something to help.
Working on two other projects that has taken me away from the social network.
    Take care and party on.

Well gege I said it before and I'll say it again even if I don't agree with all your ideas and decisions I really admire the workmanship on the bucket you posted pictures of and would like to see more pictures of it.

verde… I just recognized gege.s T. It was featured and on the cover of one of the last R&Cs and I guess at this years LARS. Nice build. I wish somebody would have told me where it was so I could have gone and looked at it. Couple of things I don't like about it too but then I didn't get a R&C cover.

the main thing I don't like is the shag carpet, other than that it is really nice and I would also love to see more pictures of it, the bomb tank is one of those things that seems to be a just for fun thing that I can take it or leave it deals

Sorry, my bad, I know it isn't shag, bad choice of words and that is just not what I would choose to put in such a beautiful T bucket

Hey Chip---I thought I did reply to your PM---Must be getting fuzzy brained....Probably a result of having the `Love Boat` theme grinding it`s way around my Brain Mix Tape...I`m telling you, flipping the channels on the TV during my Lunch Break can result in those kinds of problems....I have had a bit of a rethink on the front end. I am looking for some `28-34 Perch Bolts, and I`m going to set things up alot like the Bud Shannon T....December `64 Hot Rod....p 54/55. Also looking at the rear end mounts on the T on p36/37of the same issue. Stuff from 50 years ago! I also really like the Gene Chan T featured in the May `64 issue. I`m still debating the Turtledeck vs Pickup Box decision. I am not going to use my narrowed 9" though, as it is just too narrow. I have a 3.70 geared `56 Ford Pickup rear end that will work, though. Really want to use the reversed old chrome 15x7`s I`ve been saving...

Especially my crusty old pal Gary.....Hey--send me your Address on the PM, Gary...I have a belated gift to shuttle your way...I was a bit timid to even start this car, and you all have helped me more than you can possibly know....
