Merry Christmas! I get to pick up an early present to myself this afternoon after work - I found a Model A tailgate on CL last night and turns out he's another HAMB'r. Excited to see his pickup and get one more piece of the steel body puzzle.

I know you never anticipated the twists and turns this thread would take when you started. It just goes to show what can happen when you get a bunch of "CRUSTY" old guys together with the same passion. About the time it starts to slow someone throws out a "MOON". And I don't mean spun aluminum tank. It's on page 170 now and not slowing down. My build is pretty much finished but I look forward to not only your build Chip but all the other T builds that you encourage to chime in and post. We've all made a lot of new friends here from all over the world but as I've mentioned before It seems like family.
Well enough of my Christmas morning introspective and thank you all for putting up with all my sometime "crusty" posts and maybe a lot of us can get-together in 20015.

Yeah...this awesomely simple thread is like a little HAMB hidden within the big one.
Maybe this IS the Cadillac hiding at the bottom of the Crackerjack box! :D
I don't post much due to my car still needing a lot of modern stuff cleaned off it, but I never miss reading the thread and love the pointers I pick up along the way.
    Merry Christmas guys!

Yeah, That movie is a Tradition at our House as well. That Italian word `Fragile`......maybe there is a Bowling Alley in there.....Gary--You are so right. Through this thread, I feel like I know you and Chip, Tim, Larry, the Other Kiwi`s and the other guys like Family. I`ll try to be at LARS 2015, with or without the T.......

Okay guys I just had a brain storm as apposed to a brain fart that I have regularly. We need to all get-together with our rods at LARS next year. The only way to do that is for all of us to park in the "other rod area". Where everybody that attends park that don't have a "finished roadster". This way everybody on this thread and for that matter on the HAMB can get together. I think it should be Saturday in the swap area. Now I don't know how to organize this and maybe their already is a HAMB area. Anyway I don't need to park in the "finished roadster" area and then I won't need to wait for all you to find me so we can B.S. and you guys won't be pressed to finish your rods beyond drivers. So lets fuckin think about it and Chip maybe you can help me pick a place for all of us to meet.

Camp Bucket? Sure..We can all wear Jungle Fatigues and Pith Helmets. Actually, I`ll probably be wearing one of my old Helmets--I probably have enough in my collection for everyone....maybe I`ll restore my battered old Red Ford Tractor one for you, Gary....:D:D

  21. Hmmm......I'd dig out my old American flag print jeans, but their skinny jeans and I'm not....NOBODY wants to see that! :-0

  23. Pith Helmets, you say......maybe with Kahki's ( or white slacks) and then we would be obligated to run around the corner and "Borrow" the Safety Safari rig for a headquarters!

Hey guys and gals. Especially gals. You know this is open to all out there in that area of the fairgrounds. Even if you don't drive or even like T buckets. If you think you are "CRUSTY" enough or just want to hang with those fuckin ass holes that worship late '50 early '60s buckets, you will be welcome with whatever you drive.
I guess I am committed to attend LARS in 2015. I was really on the line about going or not "been there done that" but if we pull this off it will be a different experience.
Anyway everybody get those rods running and we'll rock LARS Fathersday 2015.

  28. This is sounding all too cool and man would I like to be part of that experience... but that's a bit out of reach, going to speedweek and some other things later in the year. JW:D

  29. Hell yeah, sounds like the place to be but sadly, me and my T will only be there in thoughts. I will expect heaps of photos of the family and the cars gathered though.

Hey JW...I didn`t know you were planning a trip to the Salt! Are you doing the usual fly into L.A. and rent something to drive/sleep in? If you flew via Hawaii, you could do the second leg to Portland and do the scenic trip with my Daughter and I....We have this little Ice Cream Shop in Buehl, Idaho that is the highlight of the drive......
