Imagine if you will this tall, lanky, wild eyed, flaming haired guy in shorts tank top and flip flops carrying a custom steering wheel, coughing and whizzing profusely gets seated on your jury. Only us would want him to remain. We "GET IT". He is one of us!

Not to belabor the point but think about it arriving for jury duty that you have been excused from hacking and coughing caring a steering wheel, trying to convince them to remove the crazy note from your records. I love you man.

That mental illness note could have jumped up and bit Chip on the*****, for sure. Good call to get that straightened out. Even if it did cause a big stie in the court house.

  6. You could have held the steering wheel out in front of you, made Vroom Vroom noises, and tried to drive through the metal detector.....then you would have never gotten straightened out!

Chip never would have gotten the mistaken mental illness deal straightened out, they would have marked it, "verified
    mental issues" :eek:o_O:rolleyes:

Here is a wild thought, all the posters here on this thread at a barbecue, Chips house of course but with shuttle service as parking would be a problem. The conversations that there would be, one guy trying to talk over the next, and then maybe the drinks kick in and it really takes off, me in the corner taking in the show...lol Seriously, great read this thread is, if there is any doubt check out the views...thanks Henry for the raw material, and Chip for starting this thread, or what ever one wants to call it :).

I'm just glad that someone else got the somewhat obscure Group W bench reference. Were there any 8X10 color glossy photos with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one?

Every decent-length trip *requires* Alices' Restaurant. Use to know it by heart... :D . Got vinyl & cd.

Wow and yet another interesting sidebar. Most of you guys are a little younger than I. I wasn't really into "Hippie Music" but I do enjoyed Arlo and his dad both altho I'm a little too young for Woody's music. I think I bought "Alice's Restaurant" on L.P. vinyl at a garage sale a while back although I think I'll find it pretty difficult to play it in any of my vehicles.
What I'm playing a lot in my truck lately is the sound track from "Streets of Fire".

"Streets of Fire" has to be the all-time worst car cult movie ever...EVER! Good sound track, but not good enough to save the movie. Pity.

Google it? Hell, I just watched it last week. Still the worst car cult movie ever! All the actors in the movie have had some very, very good performances in other films, but not in this one. Can you say "wooden acting"? Urgh!

Dad I have to agree nobody will get a gold statue Sunday for any of it. I just sit back and enjoy all the car's, motorcycles and overlook that. "One bad stud" tell me you didn't enjoy that performance.

No really google everything that went into making it. Interesting.

Still and all, a really great band cameo performance isn't enough to save genuinely rotten performances across the board by the top-name actors and actresses who headlined the film. The director is the guy who fell on his face by allowing the actors to get away with piss-poor performances. I liked the "fable" part and the sets were outstanding in their intensity. But the acting? PeeYooooooooo!

Now...back to the regularly scheduled programming. Please!

How many of you remember a movie called The Wraith ? I know, not that old at 1986, and with Charlie Sheen however I always liked it. :)

I think I've seen it. Must not have made as much impression on me as Streets. I'll try to watch it the next time I see it listed. I did like Charlie before he went off the deep end. Maybe he'll get his***** together.
