    Here is a bump for this thread so my friend can find this thread. He lived four blocks from him in 1956.

    I really liked this white merc when I first saw it in late 80s/early 90s, Hamilton ohio and Richmond in koa show, then it vanished? found it in a local newspaper article where some guy from Michigan bought it and had some wild painted graphics n stripes n ??? all over the original paint put some sorta dub type wheels on it ??? yuk!!! newspaper article said that after the guy had bought it and got it home he had realized he had bought a car that was thrown together, floor was bad and car had a lot of bondo? I never believed it and figured it was just an excuse for the changes that were made to it.
