Here's a recent picture of a '39 Cad powerred Modified that I'm building for my good friend and fellow Jester, Ratty. He started the car with another club member years ago (there's a thread on here somewhere) and I have been tasked with getting it finished. I'm making progress. Slowly but surely it is now coming together and I had Ratty pay me a rare visit a couple of weeks ago for a trial fitting as I have moved just about everything to gain some room for the man ( he is not small!) He fits. Phew.. The engine here is a just a cut out builder that we found literally 5 miles from where I live. Now bare in mind just how rare these engines are comparitively, to find one locally in rural Lincolnshire was real lucky. I have seen the pictures of the finished engine built by Jim Turnbull of Royal Kustoms and.....well, it's just stunning.
Ratty is keeping the engine a secret but I can tell you that yes indeed it is running 3 chrome Strombergs! Insert grinny face thing here. We keep telling him that the ch***is will be white and everything else chrome but we're just winding him up. Keep the joke going if you like..
