Figured it was time to join the build thread club.
Long story short, my intentions for the car have changed a lot. I'm putting a 31 Coupe body on a original 32 Chassis. Going for a Pre '48 theme. It will be powered by a nice hop'd up 59A. Ive been collecting parts for the last 5 months and by next weekend will have enough to make this thing roll.
The goal is drive the car down to the Roundup in April. YES I have ALOT of work to do. The chop is still being determined and will be the last thing on the long list of work. Either before or after the Roundup, the cherry roof will come down. Lots of pics to come. Stay tuned fellas....

    Progress.
Traveled a few hours away last night to pick up a load of junk.
A few weeks back I jumped on the sale section the Ford Barn and sure enough mint original 32 frame was just listed. Not only that, it was in Kansas! I got really excited and called the fellow right away. Two days later I was on my way to go get it. Turned out he was a huge 32 guy, and had a collection that left both a buddy and I stunned. After getting to know him that afternoon he opened up to consider selling various other parts he had lying around. Sure enough, last weekend I got the call I had been waiting for. Lets make a deal.

So heres what I came back with
Complete front assembly, heavy, bone, round backs, perches, spring, steering.
Complete rebuilt rear assembly with spring (early style)
NOS '40 drums, '42 style backing plates?
    Pedal assembly and master cyl.
    K member trans mount pieces
    E brake setup.

Got it somewhat mocked up today, need to figure out how to get the out rusty shackles out of the rear spring in order to get the new ones installed. Propane Torch?
Here she is as of right now, almost a roller!

Steering box came in today so I had to throw it on to have a look.
Im trying to figure out why this thing is as tall as a 1988 GMC School Bus.
Ive seen to many dropped highboys I guess. Owell, its going to be different!

Also got my new Christmas dinner center peice in the mail today too.
    Love that Patina.

    Just a quick little update.
Got back to school this week and started taking the back end apart for all the sub frame modifications. Realized that I'm going to have to cut and bob the rear inner fenders to follow the frame contour in order to use the original lever shocks. I think I'm going to go with the subframe kit a feller sells here on the Hamb and on eBay. Not to sure yet but from what it looks like I'm going to have to loose the rear frame horns as well. If anyone has any experience with model As on 32 frames with out mini channels or pinches please chime in. its much appreciated.
    Heres a few quick pictures.
