This is a teaser until this weekend. I have been gathering parts for a particular early Ford coupe build for the last couple of years. Everybody I know knows I've been looking for model 40 stuff, particularly quarter panels and roof parts. Last week at the Camsnapper meeting Jim hands me a small stack of pictures.
He services furnaces in homes. "Hey Ronnie, I found a 34 Chevy in a basement" he said. "Owner wants to sell". I am not really interested in another project because I am at full capacity now.
I open the envelope and say "Jim, that's a 33 FORD!!"
The next day I called and went over there. Made a deal right there in the cellar. Part of the deal is I remove part of the wall, remove the car, and put the wall back. I'm still in shock. 20240502_141752.jpg I'll share one picture now

Grab that saw blade above the car so you can chop the top!
    Good luck with the project!

  13. Great to have dream, and then it comes through. At least borrow the saw blade, for Top chop photo op, ala Jake Jacobs.

Congrats! The saw blade is cool, but I noticed the skinny slots up front. What kind of front end/ running gear does it have? Looks like some type of triangulated ladder bar in the back.

Lucky your buddy had pictures. Did the owner really think that was a Chevy?
I bought a 32 Ford truck that the owner thought was a Model A.

Wow congrats in the really nice score.
Is it sitting on a frame or just mocked up on some blocks or something?
