@69fury I didn't ask about the biscuits but they look like production pieces. I'll ask the next time I see him

I'll mention that the engine brackets are built, not OE.
Goofy little story; the OE mounts span a bit more and can be bolted up in front of the engine ears or behind, moving the bottom spot where the insulator/mount bolts up. They go behind on almost every application.

I actually meant the piece between the biscuits and the block. One pic shows a part number stamped into it. I can find the biscuits, but the oddball mopar small block and hemi ears make it interesting sometimes to swap chassis.

EDIT: OK now I see it's not a part number stamped in, but the word PASS for passenger side. I'd like to know where those come from. If not then I guess it wouldn't be the hardest to make, lol.

@RodStRace boy are you correct on this^^^ putting a 340 back into a friend's Dart half a life ago we struggled with the mounts and brackets. Literally 16 different ways they could go. We figured it out but now I've forgotten how. . .

Yep, Vintage Chassis Works axle as already mentioned.

Good quality forged axles, tooling was bought by Chassis Engineering and sold under their name later on.

The perch bolt spacing is non-standard so you need a different length main leaf than a stock Ford axle.

    Looks like a great score!

The welder at my shop just sent these to me today. Another step closer. I will whittle them down but they're on and ready 28542.jpeg 28543.jpeg 28541.jpeg 28546.jpeg

Nice work from what can be seen on a screen. I'd hope a nice heat soak is in the plans before machining.
Some places bake off grime instead of the trad hot tank. I'd check for that locally. You want the block to relax and get all the stresses out.

Moved some stuff around and got the floor in the shop. It's way more hacked up than I remember. 20241013_195716.jpg 20241013_195746.jpg 20241013_195757.jpg 20241013_195806.jpg

Also cut off hanging chunk of firewall and a huge, heavy piece of "floor". Getting ready for a more suitable chassis 20241013_191738.jpg 20241013_191747.jpg 20241013_191758.jpg 20241013_130526.jpg 20241013_130441.jpg

Well looks like you will be busy and have something to do this winter. Having the uncut floor is a plus for sure with your highboy plan. If it was me I would be continuing with the channeled job as found in a late 50's early 60's flavor unchopped traditional east coast style as people like to say now. I will be looking forward to seeing it around the local area streets and the pines reunion. The most BAD ASS car in the Merrimack Valley for sure with the Hemi.

A friend of mine is a metal wizard. He makes some amazing panels out of flat steel. I visited him last week and he's putting together a roadster by hand.
Anyway he had a couple wall hangers.
"I wasn't happy with them so I made another pair for my car"
Well they sure look good to me so I made a deal with him. I'm planning something crazy in the next few weeks, stay tuned. IMG_20241026_153545.jpg IMG_20241026_153555.jpg

Yes, crazy thoughts and ideas have been swirling in my head since I got the 33. I have been gathering parts for a 3W for a couple years so. . . . .

This isn't even the crazy part. I need to raise front and fabricate mounts but it will fit 20241031_190125.jpg 20241031_190140.jpg 20241031_190854.jpg

Moved the motor up in front and got it level to the frame and floor. Started to make up the mounts when my pal came over for some beer. . . More tomorrow 20241102_175449.jpg 20241102_175505.jpg 20241102_175657.jpg 20241102_175714.jpg 20241102_181800.jpg

Put the 34 drums and 17inch wheels with cool tires on for inspiration. Yeah, it's way too high. Frank dropped off a cast off rear spring ,I love free stuff. That'll get it down 3.5-4inches with missing leafs. 20241104_204245.jpg 20241104_204219.jpg 20241104_203222.jpg 20241104_203233.jpg 20241104_203258.jpg

Whittled up motor mounts. SBC to big Cadillac wasn't too difficult. Transmission mount will be another story 20241102_181800.jpg 20241118_201916.jpg 20241118_201902.jpg 20241118_201944.jpg
