    Well, um....

I know I'm a little late with these, but I just got them about 1/2 hour ago.

To say that I'm happy with the chassis is an understatement. When Jo and started this build, we we're planning on going a basic chassis similar to the one under his Model A. Nothing crazy, just a nice solid chassis and a cool old hot rod.

Well, after a lot of "what if we did this" texts and talks back and forth, we kind of got carried away.

    Here is the result...

The front still needing the torsion arms fabbed and the front of the wishbones wacked off.

The rear just about buttoned up.

I can truly say I can not believe that this is mine and that I'm going to be rollin' in this thing come spring-time.

I'm having another "pinch Me" moment.

    Crazy...

That's one I would love to have. Reminds me of American graffiti!

Glad you like it Jessie, but the only thing this car has in common with the Grafitti Coupe is that they are both 5-windows..

but that can’t be your car. It must be your mama’s car. I’m sorta embarrassed to be this close to ya.

The engineering in that chassis is outstanding!
It'll be quite the shocker when someone bends down to look under it for sure!
    Very slick!

I like Milners coupe and all, but I don't see many similarities. Yours is WAY better! Keep on keeping on

Thanks guys. Jo really has taken this thing to a whole new level. I'm glad we got together (and a little carried-away) on this one.

I'm so excited about this thing that I woke up at 2 A.M. this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. I was too busy thinking about all the little details we are going to incorporate in the final few weeks of the build. Jo pitches some ideas to me and I have to sell some of mine to him. It's been fun so far, but I have already lost lots of sleep over the build and it's only going to get worse as we get close to Autorama. I tend to overthink the details.

I hope to have some updates on the progress of the body and the engine soon.

I seen your car at Joe's cookout in sept. It has come a LONG way in a short time frame. The modified he is building is on the same time frame. It belongs to a friend of mine in the Louisville area. They were working on the interior saturday and sanding the body at the same time. He is shooting for the Louisville show on feb 22/25. then on to detroit. A LONG way to go and a short time to get there. Both will be killer cars!

Talk about overkill on the chassis...like shootin' rabbits with an elephant gun!

The term Creeping Elegance comes to mind on your build...happened to me on mine too...What if we did this, and added that, all it takes is $$$...nice coupe...diggin' the torsion stuff.

    Thanks guys.

If all goes to plan, the frame will be painted Saturday and headed back to Jokers's on Sunday. The body should be hitting the booth on Sunday.

    Excited!

    Todays update...

The frame is painted and the wishbones, backing plates and some other parts are getting done tonight. Jo will be picking the chassis up tomorrow night and bringing it back to Indy for final assembly. I just ordered up my bearings and brake parts from Steve at Thompson's Garage. He has been very helpful every time I've done business with him .

I know you guys love pics, so here are a few to tide you over.

Jo's dad buttoning up the nailhead this weekend.

I can't wait to hear this thing run. She ought to scoot the coupe around pretty good and make some beautiful noise while doing it. :D
