i got some more parts tonight. i got a front A spring with perches and a T gas tank. i hope to have the truck mocked up again by tomorrow night. if i get it done i'll post some more pictures. i need to get it done before thursday because im going in for surgery and im not going to be able to work on it for awhile. if its mocked up at least i can open the garage and stare at it.
i didn't get the truck put back together but i did get some more parts thats to gallager, he pm'd me and asked me if i could use a full set of fenders and a 38 trans. he said if i could use them i could have them. i did need the parts so i went and picked them up on wednesday night. thanks again anthony! i had my surgery on thursday morning and have been in ALOT of pain ever since. i cant move around but i can get online because i have my wii hooked up with internet access. they have me on painkillers but they arent enough, they just make me dopey, well dopeier. the doctors ended up detacting by bicep and reattaching it in a different spot. they also shaved a few bone spurs i had in my shoulder. hopfully i'll feel a little better by xmas.

i used to restore and resell arcades for about 10 years. i still have 8 games left here. im selling the centipede and the tempest mini sitting next to it. sounds good, hows the first saturday in jan sound? im going to try and get all the dragouts here. im buying the pizza and beer.

thanks norm! as soon as im able to move around my first order of business is to finish your arcade machine. i need to get rid of all the games in the garage so i can have more room for building. after i get the room im bringing my mom's 36 plymouth coupe over so i can work on that too. i need to get her car on the road. she has had it since 1984 and she has never been able to drive it. here is a picture of her car taken in the 80's thats my dad standing behind it. here is another picture that always make me laugh. its my brother and dad being dorks.
got some more work done on the pickup. my club came over yesterday and worked on it for me since im not able to right now, thanks guys!!!!! got the new front section of the frame welded on, got the rear end switched around. got the new perch bolts in, then set it together so i'd be able o roll it in and out of the garage, after i get rid of a few motors. here's some pics in order of time of day. once again i want to say thanks to the dragouts and scruff for his fabrication skills.
i still havent heard the yea or nay on the other car so im moving forward on the chassis. im going to use this chassis/ running gear either way.
THE BAD NEWS: this project is dead. i sold off the pickup cab and i have the bed for sale now. if you need one follow the link in my signature. THE GOOD NEWS: i picked up a 29 coupe body to put on my chassis!!! finally i have one. i have wanted a coupe for a very,very long time. i found this one on craigslist in bouse, AZ. it had been on there for 3 weeks before i saw it. i was sure it was gone but i fired him off an email anyway. i was very suprised when he email back and said he still had it. i paypaled him $200 imediatly as a down payment and told him i'd be out there in a few days. it was an 11 hour round trip to go pick it up. it came with the body, drivers door, NOS tank, windshield frame, dash rail, door moldings, and the best part a clean title!!!!!! the car was a finished rod and it caught on fire as he was driving it. he jumped out in time to watch it burn to the ground. as far as the body goes its in ok shape. it needs some body work but it is defiantly worth the $1,100 i paid for it. the only fire damage is the roof insert and the top windshield rail. i've already got the cowl sides and firewall. now i need to find a passenger door and trunk lid. here are some pics.
i got a deck lid and passengers door, thanks manny(rustybuckets) and i might be getting a drivers door from porkshop to replace the twisted one on the car. so it looks like i have a complete 29 coupe body for $1350. i went to the doctor today and he released me from my sling so i can start using my left arm again. i just cant lift anything over 5 pounds. he said if everything goes good he will release me completely in 6 weeks. so im counting down the 6 weeks until i can work on the coupe!!!!! then i should have some regular updates.
