This needs brought back up. Especially because I now have a '48 Mercury coupe. Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. It is and always has been my favorite. ******Knuckles
Palle Johansen's 1947 Cadillac Convertible - work in progress - definitly belongs on this thread. David Martinez is responsible for cutting the windshield, extending the cat walk and creating the Gaylord style padded top. This car will develop into a more full custom as it could have been built in 1948, but even now it is already a Cl***y Kustom. Man there are some nice cars on this thread, but I gotta believe the 55 Cadillac with the cl***iest lines and a true driver from all aspects has to be Roger Jetters kustom. Roger and his brother Dan has put a lot of time and energy into this one to get it right.
Thanx John, appreciate the thot. Mick, you only wish I looked that good...hell, I only wish I looked that good. Were that I, I'd prolly be wealthy by now...alas, it's not me...and I'm not even close to wealthy...!!! R-
This would have to be more new all time favourite kustom right at this very moment. Need more photos of it. X2 giving an offer as well to the owner.
here's my 55 cadillac there it is in yellow when it was dumped off to me. My buddy Flop chopped the roof. We shaved the drip rails and changed the side vent to an angled actual vent opening. We also changed the rear window. Next is to do a removable hardtop then the customizing is done. And prep the body for shiny paint. Love this thread. Some tasty customs here. ~Haywire BrooklynLeather.com
In my opinion there is a certain look to be a Cl***y Kuston most of the pic's posted have that look not over done just right clean cl***y lines ......
