The car was painted red shortly after these photos were taken when it was white. At the time, Rudy & Bill Stoessel (Coachcraft) didn't like that the top was reshaped in fiberglass and the car was powered with a Dodge 318 engine I believe. The car is still around just sitting in Texas. The gentleman who owns the car was asked to the Amelia Island Concours along with the other Coachcraft cars, but for whatever the reason the owner did not want to send the car to Florida for the weekend....I am sure it will show back up in the next couple of years....
Hi I saw your coachcraft at a restaurant in Ventura a while back. (brookes?) The windshield is really really cool. After reading the article in HOPUP, it was surprising the level of "restoration" you were able to achieve, especially in a compressed amount of time. Really neat you had it that long too.
